The BreastCheck program is a national breast cancer screening program in Ireland operated by the Health Service Executive (HSE). It provides free mammograms (breast X-rays) to eligible women aged 50 to 69 every two years. The goal of BreastCheck is to detect breast cancer at an early stage when treatment is more effective, thereby reducing mortality rates from the disease.
